New Red Bull Contest in Italy: Wake The City
The rumor mill is churning: with Red Bull Wake The City, Milan will host a new promising pro-level event on 04 September 2021. Although this and similar concepts have been heard before 🙄, the setup with System 2.0, UNIT features and, yes, the location all look great. The Starwake Cable Park in Ravenna will hold a qualifier event on June 26. More news will follow soon.

A new country on the wakeboard map: Moldova
Last week the first wakepark in Moldova was built. Located between Romania and Ukraine, the country is now home to a 180-meter two-master with six features. Congratulations!

Contest series in Brazil
In Brazil, five stops will be made at different cables between May and November as part of a small contest series. What excites us about this news? That wakeboarding is being pushed locally all over the world, and more and more events are filling up the calendar after a long break.

The name Dan Milstein might be new for some of our readers. Even if wakeskating isn’t your thing, this edit has vibes! Dan, who’s actually from Israel, is stranded in Australia due to corona, and has been commuting between Wakehouse Mackay, Bli Bli Watersports and Mitch Langfield’s Black Spot Compound for over a year. New Skatepark at Thai Wake Park |
Update from Lamlukka
At Thai Wake Park in Lamlukka, Bangkok, a brand new skatepark was completed in the past few days. The new features include an 18-meter-long concrete wave bank for surf skating—which is currently very popular in Thailand—and a classic miniramp. By the end of 2021, an additional 700-square-meter skate plaza will be built – wow!
